Quoting a rate request
Rate requests are a good illustration of how our systems work. They arrive all day, each slightly different, and each needs someone who knows the network to price it well. The system does that working out and prepares the quote. It does not send anything and it does not set your rates.
The same approach applies to daily planning, replanning, reconciliation and compliance records. Whatever the task, the pattern is the same: the system reads, reasons and concludes; a person decides.
It reads the request
Email, portal, spreadsheet or tender schedule. It identifies collection and delivery points, timings, load type and size, vehicle and handling requirements, and anything missing.
It works the job through
Distance and time, vehicle and driver availability, backloads and empty running, tolls, fuel, waiting time and extras. Each is checked against your rate card and the jobs you have run on similar lanes.
It returns a clear conclusion
A recommended rate with margin, the assumptions behind it, the risks it has spotted, and a drafted quote or the questions to send back to the customer.
Your planner makes the decision
The quote is reviewed by the person who will have to run the job. They adjust it or approve it, and it goes out under their name. Their decisions feed back into how the system prices the next one.
Quotes back in minutes, the day replanned in time, and planners planning
For the business
Rate requests are answered while the customer is still deciding. Margin is understood on every job before it is accepted. When the day changes, the options are on the table in minutes. Invoices go out matched and complete.
For your people
Your planners and traffic office know the drivers, the customers and the roads. That knowledge is wasted on rekeying jobs and chasing paperwork. With the routine handled, they spend their time on the decisions that keep the day together.
For your control
Every recommendation shows its working, so it can be checked. Nothing is quoted or invoiced without a person approving it. Your job, customer and rate data stay yours and can be exported at any time. No long contracts.
